Enabling
Enabling first time entrants in the job market to navigate their work environment with a heightened self-awareness of their inherent strengths, abilities, experience and knowledge to improve their performance and to gain more clarity of their career path.
COACHING SERIES & PROCESS
The initial focus of the coaching series will be to make your strengths explicit helping you to improve your work performance and to maximise your potential. The process will unfold in revealing your strengths from four perspectives, which include the CliftonStrengths assessment. The Strengths Wheel tool will help you integrate these strengths in your day-to-day life and align them with the key performance areas (KPA’s) of your job description. Thereafter, the focus will shift to further explore your career goals, motivators, needs, resources and stumbling blocks in order to co-create and commit to a Personal Development Plan. Tangible milestones to fast track your integration into your new job and work environment will be incorporated. Your detailed action plan will serve as the platform from which you can achieve your aspirations.
“I got more clarity of my long-term goals and received ideas and plans that would help me get to those goals.” Kyle, 2019
“I have been able to create a career path more specific to my liking and strengths. It is something I have not been able to do as specifically [as] now.” Anchen, 2019
MOTIVATION
I have learnt that being different is what sets us apart and I believe we all have something unique to offer. Besides, if we could embrace our own uniqueness early on in our career, it would set us on a path to find our own unique place in this world where we can be extraordinary, where we don’t have to conform to what we think society expects. As your coach and mentor, I will provide a safe and confidential space where we can brainstorm how best to showcase your inherent talents within your new environment and how to overcome the challenges of your new job environment and flourish.
INSPIRATION
Starting your first job can be both exciting and fearful; I believe we need someone in our corner to help us navigate this new territory.
“There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don’t know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don’t know we don’t know.” Donald Rumsfeld
